Pustrels Farm Guide

With the addition of the Empyrean update, Warframe features a few new resources needed to build your Railjack or upgrade and maintain it later on.

One of these resources are the ‘Pustrels‘ and they are fairly easy to get if you know where to look.

This guide will help you with that endeavor and will tell you exactly where to look. So make sure to read through everything and remember to have fun while playing!

Where & How To Get Pustrels

The common resource is mainly found on the Plains of Eidolons, which is the only place to farm it until you can actually use your Railjack.

The Pustrels do drop from the red ore veins, so pack your mining equipment (either the Nosam Cutter from Cetus or the Sunpoint Plasma Drill from Fortuna) and make sure to hit the best spots.

Later on you are able to get more Pustrels from Earth Proxima, Saturn Proxima and from Veil Proxima. There you might find the resource as a drop from Grineer ships, Grineer units or simply from storage containers on the crew ships.

Since you will need to start farming the Pustrels on the Plains of Eidolon, here are the best places on the map to actually look for the red ore veins:

  1. Caves: Especially the cave near the Twin Horns will usually yield a decent amount of red ore veins, so set a marker on your map and head over there.
  2. Stone formations: The farther away you are from the Cetus gate, the higher the yield will be. We recommend running towards the Mount Nang and pick up everything you’ll see on the way.

Don’t forget that a few different variables will affect the amount of Pustrels (and normal ore) you get: Resource booster, Smeeta Kavat and even the timing on your drilling will directly result in more of the resource.

Don’t forget that good timing yields more resources while mining.
You can easily farm a lot of Pustrels if you know the right spots.

Conclusion

Pustrels is fairly easy to farm and since Plains of Eidolon free roaming does only spawn enemies around level 10 to 15 you can basically bring any Warframe and weapon you like.

Make sure to actually equip a mining drill in your gear wheel and you should be able to actually farm a decent amount of the newest ore-based resource in a short amount of time.
